West Coast, Best Coast. Soak in the sun amongst the lush forest, refresh in the lake, enjoy the crisp mountain air of the Cowichan Valley. We are privileged to live and celebrate on the traditional lands of the Coast Salish people and we can't wait to share this incredible environment with you.
Who's behind it all
Plant Based Production Society
Founded by Jo James and Tristan Bacon, Plant Based Productions is the culmination of over a decade of event experience on the West Coast. Hailing from Performing Arts backgrounds, James and Bacon both found their love within the music scene. Inspired by events such as Bass Coast, Tall Tree, and Bonnaroo, they saw a need for more community fuelled events on Vancouver Island and felt called to answer.
The beginning of Plants 'n Animals came during the Covid-19 pandemic with a small scale event "Camping PLUS" which featured incredible local DJs and an amazing community weekend event focused on founding friendships and entertainment. Expanding into Plants 'n Animals has been a dream coming to fruition, opening the door to this incredible community to a larger group of people and bringing the possibility of larger acts and greater art.
